A student film centered around the fateful intersection of two stranger's lives and how both are simultaneously interrupted by the devastation of a late night tragedy. The project itself was low budget and shot in a matter of two very cold, backlit nights on a sectioned off street in Logan Square, Chicago.
The main talent to focus on was the youthful student and victim of this scene. She needed to visually embody the radiance of adolescence and exude an element of playfulness. The intention was to highlight the degree of loss in her future potential and fueled much of the decision making process when styling the final look presented on camera.
The direction provided on the amount of gore to reveal was not only advised to be tasteful, but also impactful enough to remain effective; accurately presenting the severity of the situation without leaving any room for speculation.
